The Pixel Dust Design Studio Branding Process
Each brand design project takes approximately 5 to 8 weeks. Full brand projects (brand/print/web) typically take anywhere from 3+ months. All time estimates are dependent upon the individual project, number/complexity of revisions, client response timeliness, and my current booking schedule. An estimated timeline and schedule will be given to each client upon project start via email.
- The FREE Consultation:
Like any relationship, it all starts with a first date to make sure we are a good match. After your initial inquiry email, we will set up a meeting, phone call, or video chat. I will ask you some questions regarding your business, vision and goals for your brand development and you get the chance to ask me any question that comes to mind. This step will give us both a chance to get to know one another and make sure we are going to make an awesome team.
If it’s love at first sight, we get to happily proceed to the next step. I will put together a formal proposal for our project together and send it your way. If everything prepared is approved by you, please sign and send the proposal back to me and keep a copy for yourself. You will also kindly complete the invoice for our first half of the payment to hold your spot in the Pixel Dust Design Studio queue at this time. * please note this deposit is nonrefundable
I give you a little homework that will help both of us for the upcoming project. I will send you a link to my branding questionnaire so you can go through and answer some important questions to insure we are on the same page prior to your project start date. This questionnaire will provide valuable information for me as I move throughout your brand design process.
- Research & Concept Development:
The first step of the branding process is the creation of an inspiration/mood board. I will study your questionnaire and establish color scheme, graphics, tone, and the style of your new brand. Within 10 business days of your start date, you will receive your first deliverable (Mood Board) and have a chance to review and request up to 2 rounds of revisions until you are in love with the direction.
- Logo Package:
Now that we have established and finalized your inspiration board, I will then get to work on creating the cornerstone of your new brand. The logo design process can take approximately 10 to 15 business days to complete. During this phase you will receive your second deliverable which will consist of 3 to 4 unique logo concepts designed based on the information given in the initial stages and your approved mood board. Once received, you will have the opportunity to review and request up to 3 rounds of revisions until your are completely in love with your new logo design.
- Brand Style Guide:
Now its time to put it all together! We will pull in your lovely new logo, color palette and inspiration photos then add in your sub mark, logo variations, patterns, fonts and any elements into a full branding guide format. You will also receive your designs in multiple popular file formats to make utilizing them simple and efficient for your different needs.
- Brand Identity Packages:
Now we can start to put your Brand Identity to work! We now take your newly designed brand and continue it throughout your brand Identity options that you selected (business card, business letterhead/notecard and envelopes, postcard, Thank you card, Facebook and Twitter page designs, etc.) to complete your seamless new look. The files for all these designs will also be sent to you in various popular file formats.
